Karate Club 47 — kids karate classes in Yerevan. Belikelightning
Karate for kids from age 4. For 17 years we've been raising a strong, disciplined and confident generation.

We build character
Karate Club Forty Seven is a Japanese Shotokan karate club training under the Japan Karate Shoto Federation (JKS) system. For 17 years we have helped children grow strong in body and in spirit.
Here a child learns to respect elders, keep their word, not give up in the face of difficulty — and above all, to overcome themselves. The discipline of the dojo goes home with them, to school and into the future.
“Karate begins and ends with respect”
Gichin Funakoshi · founder of Shotokan
Forms: traditional sequences of movement
Sparring: control, speed, respect
A belt’s colour tells the story of a karateka’s growth — from the first steps to mastery. Tap a belt to see what it means.
White beltA clean start
White stands for purity, inexperience and readiness to take in new knowledge. It is like a blank page on which the student has yet to write their story.
Yellow beltThe first light of awareness
Yellow is the first rays of the rising sun. Just as sunlight wakes the seed hidden in the soil, knowledge wakes the student’s potential.
Orange beltStrength awakens
Orange stands for warmth, energy and growing strength. Speed, endurance and self-belief gradually awaken in the student.
Green beltGrowth and stability
Movements become more natural; balance, sense of distance and fighting mindset develop.
Blue beltTowards the heights
Blue stands for the sky, limitless possibilities and the drive to reach higher.
Purple beltTowards the heights
Purple stands for the depth of that path and a maturing awareness.
Brown beltMaturity and a solid foundation
Brown stands for maturity, stability and accumulated experience. Technique becomes more refined, movements more precise and decisions more conscious.
Black beltThe path of mastery
The black belt stands for years of work, discipline, experience and dedication. It reflects the road travelled, while opening new horizons.
From white belt to black, a karateka changes not only the colour of the belt, but the way they think.
